93 Maxima Pricing Question

Thinking of selling my 93 Maxima. 81K Miles, automatic transmission, 6 cylinder, garaged entire life, very good condition inside and out. I'm told this is a sort of sought after car, lol. Any suggestions as to a fair asking price? Many thanks in advance.

you didn't specify if it's a GXE or SE model btw for that low mileage that's pretty darn rare and good for it, SE model usually fetch for more than the GXE model.

Thank you FanaticMadMax for your reply

I could not find anything regarding GXE or SE, not on car or in manual. What I can tell you, if it helps at all, is that it has a VG30E Engine, and states; "4DSC; 4 Door Sports Car". Many thanks for your help. Its also a one owner car until I got it a year ago.

Thanks again for any info you can supply. Bob

It’s a GXE. SE’s came with VE’s. Not certain on pricing these days.

I looked on Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) and got a value of $1500 to $1900 if you are selling to a private party. If you want to trade it in, the value is about half.

Thank you. I was under the impression it might be worth more as it supposedly, I am told, it is a borderline, desired car by some to own. Thanks again. Bob

My 92 SE

I am the original owner of a white 1992 Maxima SE 5 sp. manual transmission. I live in Canada and can tell you all SE models 1989-1994 came fully loaded with leather and climate control as standard equipment. The only option was Automatic transmission and BOSE stereo. My car was and still is winter stored. I had the VTC rebuilt and have purchased as many parts for back up as they are practically impossible to find. The car has 265,000 Km (164,000 miles) on it, mainly all is highway driven. Still has the full original muffler and full pipes. I can tell you it is a head turner as people have not seen those cars on the road in decades and when I drive it to the dealership for inspection or oil change...the scene is a page out of a movie. Cell phones snapping pictures from mechanics.. service managers...etc. On the roads and highways, I get thumbs up all the time. I am not writing this to brag, but rather to get an idea also as to what I can sell it for if I decide to find it a good home. It is my baby.. I love the car and stare at it all the time. It has a bit of rust on the trunk lid below the deck spoiler, as well as slight rust bubbles on the rear lip, but that is it!. The next project is to fix all this and give it a brand new white paint job.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Fred

honestly just keep it, a clean SE the maximum youre going to get is maybe $3500, find a collector/right person and you might get $5k max on a good day.

Where in Canada are you? I sold some parts to a buyer in Ottawa but most were in the U.S then what I had left I could no longer store and had to scrap em. I miss my 3rd gen though. How about you start a bid. I could start the bid at $500 lol..
