What do you mean by weak?

WTH are you talking about? Is it an auto or what?

Clutch might be slipping. Might be your Throwout bearing too, does it make any weird noises?

Then it's most likely your engine not operating like it should at WOT. Check O2 sensor, fuel filter, air filter, MAF, fuel pump (fuel pressure). One of the moderators might have a better idea of what's going on, like Jeff or Matt. Also one of the "senior" members might be able to help you too. I'm assuming you go to WOT when you downshift?

the car always feels faster if your not driving it, and the car always feels slower if your driving it, you brace your body when you think your going to accelerate without thinking about bracing yourself, think about this,

you ever notice if you trying to come of the clutch and start moving in neutral, thinking its in first gear, and the car just revs because its not in gear, and you kind lean forward thinking the car was going to move forward, the same kind of thing happens if you miss a shift, your body braces itself so the car feels like it has less pull, if you have a friend drive your car you'll probably be amazed with how much faster it feels

^ yep exactly what he said...when youre driving you know obviously when you accel hard or make any other sudden movements, your body prepares for the reaction, but if you ride passenger you dont know what the driver is going to do...kinda like when im driving with friends in the car when i accel and the car snaps at 3500 i sit there fine and everyone else in the car surges back into the seats its so great

Everything feels more pronounced when you're a passenger. Acceleration, cornering, braking... I'm always driving around at my usual pace and everyone either comments on how aggressively I corner or just sits there with that stony "putting finger indentations in armrest" silence.
