Downshift
#1
I have been downshifting lately but I don't notice too much engine braking. 2nd and 3rd are the primary gears to downshift to, right? What is the highest speed that you can be at to go to 3rd, how much rpm's? What about 2nd, it has gotta be around 55 or so, how much rpm's there. Does anyone downshift to first? Anybody got the rpm's and speed limits for each gear figured out yet?

I would estimate:
1 - 37 mph
2 - 67 mph
3 - 100 mph
4 - 130 mph
I personally only downshift for acceleration purposes and not for braking because of the wear on the engine and clutch. I think the engine does a good job of braking when coasting.
