87 SE > 92 SE - interchangeability?

I recently was in a huge 20 car pile up and I totalled my 87 Max SE. I loved that car to death. Well I had to part with it and I purchased a 92 Max SE because I love Maximas so much. Well I had a lot of mods on that car and was wondering what can be used on the 3rd gens. I had a new exhaust and muffler. The muffler is a PaceSetter® Big Bore "Monza" Exhaust System Kit for '85-88 Nissan/Datsun Maxima 3.0L and is advertised to only work on 2nd gens. I looked at the pipe and it looks the same size on my 3rd gen so is it possible to keep that muffler and put it on my 3rd gen? Also, I had a DEI Sidewinder 5000 security system wired in my 2nd gen. I might attempt to take this out and put it in the 3rd gen cause the security on the 3rd gens are not only useless, but annoying (when i have the door open it beeps like i left my lights on or something) Well has anyone had experience with installing/uninstalling security systems and if so is it possible to switch my sidewinder from my 2nd gen to my 3rd gen? Also, just out of curiosity, most maximas seem to have the integrated antenna in the rear defroster wires, but does anyone know how this can be utilized or what it does? Thanks for everyones help!

the alarm should easily switch over, might require some new wiring here and there, but it should work. the exhaust system "should" bolt up, just remember the 2nd gen Max used a single L-shaped downpipe(not a Y-pipe like the 3rd gen)...so there might be some slight angle differences, but should fit...I'm sure a muffler shop should be able to make any slight adjustments necessary.

Well if I can change my security system that would be great cause the one now is so annoying! Is it supposed to beep like i left my lights on because it does that even if all the doors are closed with the lights off and the keys out of the ignition.....is this normal? It beeps just cause the security system is on..messed up...how can I disengage this?
