Chattering from a dead stop

Alright, I have an 89se with 209,000. About 50% of the time the clutch chatters in 1st gear. The clutch does not slip. DO you think the clutch is bad or is there possibly oil on the clutch plates?

Also, any insight as to how much an ABS accuator assembly costs? Used?

When a clutch is worn to where the rivets have become exposed, chattering will often result, even though the clutch will still grip. I would suggest you do a clutch fast, because if the chattering is because the clutch is eating into your pressure plate, you are OK as you replace them as a set. However, if your clutch is eating into your flywheel, they may have to machine it deeply to clean it up. I believe our flywheel is "stepped" (but I am not sure, I haven't done mine myself yet). Recreating the step would add expense.
