I went to the junkyard today and I got a chrome grille off a 91 Maxima for 30 bucks. Its the kind with the Nissan "hamburger" emblem in the center. It actually looks nicer than my 89 grille which had the word nissan on the bottom right of the grille.

actually, that was probably a 92 at the junkyard

89-91 had the grilles with "nissan" written in the lower corner
92-94 had the horizontal bars across and a nissan logo right in the middle

and SE have body colored grilles, while GXE have chrome

and they all can be interchanged

your confused the different style grills are

the one you have a drawn is from a 89-91 the se was body colored the gxe was chrome.

the straight line grill like Aaron92SE posted is frim a 92-94 and the same situation with the se being body colored and gxe being chrome.
