you don't need a 2.5" exhaust or naxos muffler either, but he's trying to sell it to you.
I dunno on the price, but I would suggest going ahead and getting the Y pipe installed when you do it.. then you'll have the full thing done with 2.5" pipe, from the y-pipe back.

the warpspeed aluminized steel Y goes for $295 I think.. the Stainless steel version is $100 more. check out http://www.warpspeedperformance.com for exact info.

cattman's stainless Y goes for $450- he used to make a JetHot coated one for $100 less, but doesn't sell them anymore. http://www.cattman.com

I don't remember whether or no Stillen makes one for our cars. http://www.stillen.com

<A HREF="https://maxima.org/forums/search.phtml?query=naxos&forumchoice=-1&booleanand=yes&searchin=all&searchdate=-1&searchuser=&searchdateline=&exactname=yes&action =dosearch&getdaily=&pagenum=">Results</A>

Not much....but enough to get you started and maybe firing off a couple of e-mails to these guys will help as well...

I used to have a naxos muffler on my car. To tell you the truth they are pretty cheap mufflers. You shouldnt pay anymore than $150 for it. They sound all right but there are better. I really dont think that there is much difference in all aftermarket mufflers besides sound anyway. I've heard some mufflers that were like $300 and sound like sh**. I payed about $170 for my ractive muffler and I am very happy with it. Everyone else thinks it sounds sweet too. Its really up tp you though on what you get.

If I were you I would not buy that exhaust for the car. It would be better to go the way that I am going to go. You can buy a Y-pipe back exhaust without a muffler from warpspeed for I believe $75 more. Then you would have the Y-pipe too. And since you already have a muffler thats better than the Naxos you could just weld that to the 2.5in. warpspeed exhaust. You will have better performance for cheaper rather than paying the $450 they want and then having to buy a y-pipe on top of that. Just my oppinion.
