Go to my site and you can read a complete writeup I did on the UDP. http://grprete.jnet.net

In short, it is a cheap easy mod to do - worth about 5-7 hp. Yes, you can feel the difference. Primarily it adds low-end torque.

I've had it since October 1999 with no problems.

Not worth the money for only 3-4hp. Take your cash and buy yourself a shiftknob, pedal kit, dash trim, interior lights, and clear corners. You'll find the hp gain is about the same.

Have you noticed any changes in RPM when the car idles?
Does it really add low-end power and are u able to feel it? I am thinking about buying one soon.

UDP was my first mod (along with CAI). The combo of the two really helps the low end torque. You CAN feel it.

Your y-pipe and exhaust helped with high end HP and passing speeds. Now add more pull off the line.

I've got so much torque I'm running 0-60mph in 6.4s - and those are rough launches. I haven't even timed yet with the new y-pipe and my b-pipe (installing today)

What about the udp and lightened flywheel as a combo these two mods should shave a good amount of time off your 0-60 run as well as the 1/4 mile run, well i can't wait to find out.

You need new belts, part #s come with it

I haven't noticed any difference with a/c or other systems... I haven't noticed any speed either.

Well what i heard is that the udp frees up engine power but takes away from electrical power, but if gains is what your looking for then why not get it and while your at it get a lighter flywheel along with the unp to really crank up your acceleration.

you'll get more out of the pulley than with the 'mods' you listed above. Why waste your money on interior lights, dash trim, etc..

You'll be fine, even with a full stereo system, AC blasting, etc

HP gain from a pedal and dash kit?

well. Any gains for the engine is well worth it in the long run. i mean, if you're going to go all out, you have to get the little pieces that all come into place at the end..

i'd rather go for power, than for simple looks.

My A/C suffered with the UDP. It just doesn't have the cold oomph to cool the car as fast. I saw the diff within weeks of installing so I doubt it was the refrigerant.

Somebody warned that the lighter flywheel screwed up the cruise control. Because of the faster acceleration it kept kicking the throttle in & out or something. Just something I heard.

I got one from Unorthodox Racing a few months ago. They shipped fast, and the installation instructions were good. Beautiful aluminum piece! It's available in a few colors, but, for stealth, I got a black one. The weight difference between the OEM steel pulley and the UR was obvious. I got a discernable improvement in low-end power, based on butt dyno results. So far, I have not noted any negative side-effects: no A/C problems, dimming headlights, etc. And I have a 260-watt aftermarket stereo system... I think if I were going to have a problem, it would have manifested itself by now.

The more mods I get, the more I want! I haven't been disappointed with any of my mods so far... Knock on wood.

I think you're looking at $300-$350 for parts, shipping, and installation --if you don't do it yourself. Maybe more, depending on your location... I think Unorthodox Racing is in New York. Stillen is out in California. Good luck.

I got the pulley for 165 at Stillen. Belts should be around 35 or so.
