Differential Bearing Shims, Do shops normally check preload?

Hey guys,
I am taking my car to get the tranny rebuilt tomorrow. I doubt the shop normally checks the bearing preload, though they may, and I am wondering if the shims are easy for them to get or if i am going to have to order like 4 or 5 different shims (because i need to get the shims to them before they measure preload) from the nissan dealer to take to the shop .

So, if the shop says to me that they wont check preload, i am going to go somewhere else, but the guys at this particular shop were very nice and seemed to know a lot about trannys.

Anyway, i think i am also going to drop in an ACT, reinforce my engine mounts and have them put redline tranny oil in when they are done. Then once i change my fuel filter, my car should be happy again .

Yeah, ericdwong was not online when i posted this, and i need an answer ASAP (read: sunday night before 11:30MST). Thanks!
