I AM GETTING NITROUS EXPRESS THIS WEEKEND? I HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS. IS IT BETTER FOR ME TO SHOOT N2O OFF THE LINE OR WAIT TILL I HIT 2ND GEAR? WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO HIT IT? SHOULD I SHIFT MANUEL OR STOMP ON IT? I HAVE AN AUTO?

ALSO DOES ANYONE HAVE A LAG OF POWER WHEN YOU STOMP ON IT? NEED HELP TO BEAT SOME TURBO CARS??

dont spray off the line, you will spin your tires for the whole race as far as when to spray im not sure, but i would say around 50-60mph, but im not sure so dont quote me on that

Re: Nitrous Express

If you're racing, then spray off the line. I had the misfortune of going up against a nitrous'd maxima at the strip last week. He was spraying as soon as he left the line. He did spin, but he also ran 13.8's to 14.2's on street tires. What's the point of not spraying in first gear?

Why was it a misfortune? You must have smoked him... that's if you're sig is accurate.

If you're good at launching without getting massive wheelspin, then by all means, spray in 1st. Keep in mind though, unless you have decent tires or your tire pressure is low, then you will start to spin once you start spraying. At least that's what happens to me.

It's really hard to say. Results differ. I myself never ran NOS when I had my auto. You might try asking Jime or refering to the 1/8 and 1/4 mile threads.

Not sure about a 50 but last week a 75 shot dropped me from 15.6 to 13.6. Same day, same setup, 15 mins apart, so no difference except hitting the juice. I am sure I can still run under 14 with 50, a 35 would be doubtful.

I also hit it off the line, thats how I did a 1.8 60', but you have to have traction to do it. ie suspension setup and tires.

I was on just the blower, no spray, and I lost badly. I was running on the 19"s.

Its ok to spray off the line. I spray when I hit 3000 in 1st gear, and i'm auto. dont worry, you not gonna get massive wheel spin when you turn on the juice. I do get wheel spin, but I get my wheel spins up to 3000rpm, without the nitrous. Maximas have too much torque, its hard to not get wheel spin.

So once you're at 3000 and the juices start flowing, off you go. However, my tires are brand new kumhos. If you have old tires, you might get wheel spin even after 3000, when the nitrous is on.
