probably you should save your money until something good comes out. I know im going to save because I need to get an alarm before I put in more money on anything else.

What do you mean, SE conversion?

My next steps would be an RSB and FTSB. Or new struts, if yours are on the way out...

Intake & Y-pipe are your basic HP bolt-ons. Anything else (cat, b-pipe, muffler, UDP, yadda yadda. Anything under $400) really won't increase your horsepower noticeably. The next options (mostly $400+) are more expensive, but will boost your HP up very noticeably while keeping the performance mods under a $1000.

ECU (95-96 only)
MEVI
Cheap NOS setup

Not a lot left eh? If you want to spend more than $1000, you've got:

Supercharger
Good NOS setup
Turbocharger
Built motor
Bla bla bla bla.

I was in the same boat as you about this time last year. I came into an extra $1000 lying around, and jumped on the Road Beast group deal. You can imagine what happened after that. Following that, I came into more money, bought a V1, and bla bla bla.

Needless to say, your Max can and will become a money pit if you're not careful. If you can't see yourself spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on it in the future, stop while you still can

This the absolute truth. I pose my question once more: It's fun and SUPER COOL, but is it all really worth it? (Clearly I am not one to speak)

For 299 you can get an ECU from jet at JC whitney. Dyoned 11 wheel horsepwer all the way throught the power band. I have a 97 with CAI, Ypipe, Cattback. The sweetest piece you can get is this ECU. peace

I read somewhere that JET ECU's were no good. so was that ur dyno or JET's claim? I'd prob buy one if that was the fact.
