Which bulbs match best with the Polarg corner lights?
I just installed all my lighting stuff today Polarg M4/M14s and PIAA 9004 Xtreme whites though the PIAAs do not match at all. The PIAAs look yellow compared to the blueish tint that the polargs give off.
I tried to hunt down some Polarg 9004s but no luck. I was thinking about Phillips Bluevisions but they also appear to be yellow compared to the Polargs; which have a very nice *slight* blue tint to them. Any suggestions?

right now I have some cheap 3A hyper whites what are stock wattage and they match perfectly to my polargs(pics are on my homepage somewhere). I just ordered some higher output Nokya arctic whites because I need more light at night. Ill see if those match my polargs when they get here.

How closely do they match the Polargs? I can tell they are a much better match than the PIAAs I currently have but I am looking for a really good match and something that is definetly brighter than stock

I have the APC upgraded harness and 80/100watt bulbs from coolbulbs.com. I just checked their site and they have Nokya, Raybrig and Polarg blubs. I would assume that the Polargs will match the polargs as long as your corners are re-wired. but you never know.

i must say the APC higher wattage bulbs match the polargs pretty well, mine were rewired as well..
If you do decide on the APC bulbs, be sure the get the upgraded harness as well because otherwise they'll burn out something in a month or two.

My H3 are brighter than the 9004, they are super white without any blue. They match overall with my Polarg.
I'll take some pic soon.

I just finished my clearance light rewire mod tonight and I am very pleased with it When I turned them on, I noticed that they are now brighter than my stock headlight bulbs I am now in search of some brighter bulbs that will match the Polargs in my clearance lights and sidemarkers. Any suggestions? New findings?

correct me if im wrong but the headlight size for 3rd gen max is 9004 aka Hb1 or Hb3 or neither. I was using this link as reference http://www.coolbulbs.com/bulbsbody.asp and then on custom max page it says http://www.custommaxima.com/PIAAHeadlight.htm 9004 as well but I dont want think I want the PIAA bulbs I want something to match my Polarg with the blue tint but still be bright. Whats your opinion on Polarg eurowhites or mircalewhites as oppossed to PIAA superwhites. All in same price range 10-15 difference at most I am looking for bright lights without yellow tint the blue tint is actually preferred

Well Polarg sells H3 bulbs that will fit in your foglights. Not that that information helps much. I figured PIAA would work well but I guess they aren't working like you thought they should be. Guess you'll just have to buy an HID kit.

I went PIAA heads and fogs, and Polarg turn signals, markers and clearance lights....all looks good to me
My question is, will I need an upgraded harness for the PIAA heads? I don't wanna pop my hood to see a melted harness....

Hey guys! Just bought the Sylvania 9004 SilverStars from Advance this afternoon and installed them. I turned them on in the daylight and I wasn't much impressed by them. The light seemed a just a tad brighter than the stock bulbs. Wasn't much of a color change either.
Well, I'm here at work and I just rinsed off my car (d@mn salt air) and I decided to check them out at night. I went out in front of the car about 10yds and they are very bright! They kinda match the Polarg bulbs but they have a slight hint of purple in them. They are definitely(sp?) brighter and whiter than the stock bulb. I'm actually pretty satisfied with them until another alternative arises. Paid $48 for twin pack at Advance.
Now, I just need to get some new headlight housings, because they are all trashy looking from road debris. Any suggestions on where to get some new ones??? Thanks!

Update on MTECs:
I have them in for 2 weeks so far, no melting of the harness. I reaim my headlights cuz their were kinda high and my H3 is still brighter than my 9004s when you look at it from a distant, which I like.
