I always wondered if anyone has this combo on their maxima. Can this be done? I would you tap the long runners, short runners or both with a type of switch, or spray till 4900rpm and let the short runners of the VI take over at 5000?

The MEVI doesnt have long and short runners. Also, why not just spray all the time like normal?

It doesn't have different 'runners' per say, just a resonance chamber, you can still tap it like normal for DP nitrous, just watch the tuning closely on the top end...

Well wouldn't that create puddling of nitrous and fuel between the butterfly plates. I wanna run it relatively safe. I'll be humming along, turn on the nitrous and get a 150 shot when i was expecting a 75

Tap into the last (short) part of the runners between the lower intake manifold piece and the secondary resonance chamber. That will ensure nothing funky happens with the nitrous flow due to the turbulent area right under the secondary resonance chamber. You can actuate the nitrous at whatever rpm you like (like what everyone else uses).
