PVC Value

how can i tell if the value need replacemet. i got the code 1008. so should i replace it?

Simply remove it and look at it. If it's "caked" with oil...replace it...it's only like $3-$5.00

You can also shake it up and down...there's a ball bearing inside and it should move FREELY up and down...if it doesn't, then replace!

They're cheap...just replace it.

thanks man.

i just replaced it last year. i brought it from autozone. it was hard to get it in there. there is a rubber peice i dont know if i was spouse to take that out because there is some oil around that and the value. it seems like it doesnt fit right.

I had the same problem with PCV Valve I bought from parts store so I bought one from dealer and problem was solved.

i did the same but about a week later it seized up again but it has over 100k miles on it

If you use a panel popping tool to get to it, it's one hell of alot easier. I did it in 30 seconds, and no scratches on my fragile little hands either.

i just use needle nose pliers and pull up....only takes a sec
