Tinted Brake Lights Gone Bad... Plez Help
Whats up everybody, I tried to tint my brake lights today and royally messed up... they are totally black... I was told to coat it good the first time for a nice light tone.. boy were my sources wrong!!!! The lights are so black it looks like I have GTS covers on them... Any ideas on how to fix them.. maybe lighten them up a bit? I was thinking of using a really really fine steel wool but im not sure if that would hurt the finish... any input would be greatly apreciated...
Thanks In advance
Ryan.

If you used Tester's, you can spray another coat onto the taillight again, wait about 30 seconds or so and rub it off with paper towels. The tint should come off. Wipe it clean and start all over again. At least that's what I did long time ago. Just a suggestion; you don't have to take it.

Also for the Testor's method it can only be done on recently laid coats, not something you did 4 months ago.
I did a search on google and found this:

12. How do I remove VHT Nite Shades SP-999 Lens Tint?
Usually a little lacquer thinner on a clean lint free cloth will take it off. If the tint is more than 3 months old, it may be baked into the surface and normally will not come off.

try some alcohol and see if that takes it off. If not you might want to try just a little bit of aceone or paint thinner. I'm not sure how those will react to plastic, so make sure it's just a little spot first(maybe use a q-tip).
