Anyone who has replaced the headlamps...

Did you take pics of removal/replacement of 97-99 headlamps? If so, any pointers? I'm about to replace mine (since they turned nice and creamy yellow...), just wondering if there was anything I should look out for?
Thanks
Alex

don't have pictures man, but according to my haynes manual, removal is pretty easy. there are two bolts exposed when you remove the corner lights... and then two more if you access the housing from inside the engine bay... on the inner part of the light (toward the center of the car). i've looked for the bolts and it took a couple of minutes... but they are there. you will see a screw with a plastic end coming out... for adjusting the beam angle... it is in that area if i remember correctly.

YO

You need a 10mm socket to remove the bolts after the clearance light and than a 8mm to take the ones off inside the engine bay. I also suggest using an extention on the engine bay bolts...kinda' tought o get to otherwise. Anyways, after that you're done. Good luck.

If it is anything like removing the I30 headlights then it is really easy. In your owners manuel it should tell you how to remove your corner lamps. Then you just take out the screws from the headlight, remove it. Then you do it all in reverse.

before u go buying new headlights and spend and all that money try this.

I use to have an e36 and had couldy headlights, sorta yellowish. After i tried this they almost looked brand new (not worth getting new ones). Its worth a try, wrost case is u have to buy new headlights. Same position u werre in before.
