Transmission ECU O/D Light Diagnostic Procedure when Overdrive light blinks or is blinking (98 & 99 Models Only):

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....threadid=63295

Get a Haynes manual or an FSM for the 95 to 97 procedure, as it is slightly different. However, the actual blinking sequence and code meanings are the same.

It is on page 7B-3 of the Haynes manual. This procedure can easily be confusing, and except for the Vehicle Speed Sensor or Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), all other repairs should only be done by a qualified transmission shop. The VSS and the TPS mentioned above should throw an ECU code. If they don't, and only the O/D light blinks, then you're in trouble.
