Is it possible to have a true CAI

Is it possible to have a true CAI
When I replaced my front bumper, I ordered an aftermarket one that had holes for fog lights. Well, I decided against fog lights, but I was wondering if it was possible to route a tube/filter (like the PRCAI) down to where the hole is for the fog light. I saw a Honda that was rigged this way, but I don't want the filter to be visible. I think if it was near that opening, it would truly get cold air from outside the vehicle. I don't know, just an idea I had. Let me know if it's feasible or if it's already been done.

that's how the new turbo is as well. Hlh0501 has a new turbo he had installed where the filter is way at the bottom and he can't install fog lights even if he wanted to. The PR CAI is very close to that fog light hole, in fact, if u look though it, you CAN see the filter a little up above...i think that's close enough...

PR CAI is the best you can get to the setup you are thinking about, any closer to the fog light hole, you will have to add extra tubing and making it even longer than what it already is which hurts high end power even more

Have to be careful about an intake that close to the ground with a virtual "scoop" for sucking in water if you go through an unexpected puddle. I have a K&N filter in the lower area of the front bumper of my Z but it is somewhat protected by a lower splash guard...

That's about as cold air as you can get without custom designing something, mind you, that's a custom designed on from my SC. The PR CAI is similiar, possibly not as low, and on the other side of the car.
There was a company that used flat style K&N's (like the one in the stock airbox) that had kits for a lot of honda's, where it would mount in the spacing of the front bumper. I don't think they ever made one for the max though.
