cigarette burn
cigarette burn
hey, one of my friends burnt the carpet on my ceiling in the car trying to ash out the sunroof.
Anyone know something that could fix this, or at least make it look a little more presentable? Any help would be apreciated, thanks...

It's never too late to go with a tweed conversion...

That sucks, I don't really know of anything for the headliner. The Max is my first car where no smoking is allowed, and even I've broke down on that a couple times.

not sure on how to cover it up, but i've prevented this in all the cars i've owned by not allowing smoking and if they do wanna smoke, i'll pull over and let them walk the rest of the way.
The only quick an easy fix that I could think of would be to cover it with tan nail polish, if you have a tan interior. You'll still now it's there but 85-percent of your passengers won't. Sorry I couldn't offer anything better.
At least I'm not chastising you for letting people smoke in your car.

lol, thanks guys, i know i shouldn't let people smoke in my car, but when your one of the only ones on your college campus with a car, it's tough...i have charcoal interior, so i'll see if i can find a nail polish that might be close to the color...thanks for the help.

I forgot to mention before that if I break down and let someone smoke a cig, or if we smoke an occassional road trip spliff, the rear ashtray gets removed and it's mandatory ashing in that (if it's the spliff, it's mandatory ashtray-under-the-cherry-at-all-times).
Ashing out the window or sunroof always leaves the chance of crap blowing back. If people must smoke, this is a good compromise rule.

An IDEA!
i did this before and it covered up well. go to an edge in the roof liner where it goes in-side and cut a little piece off where its unnoticable.then cut into a small square. cut the burn into a square apply little glue to the square patch. place on. wait till it dries and rub it good to hide the square line. make it a square,it looks better.
