HID's

I was givin a set of HID's from a new Max by a friend. I installed them in my 97, but to come to my surprise, I lost my high beams. I guess the new Max's have 2 bulbs (hi/low) compared to my 1 hi/low. Is there anything I can do to fix this, other than taking out the HID's. Does anyone offer 1 bulb HID's? If anybody can help, I greatly appreciate it....

Stock Maxima hids are single bulbs , so you loose highbeam, should have gotten the aftermarket kits with hi/low beam in one hid bulb. How did you wire the hids, cause I have a set and need to wire them?

I decided against the aftermarket, cuz I got these for a lot cheaper.
I dont know how they are wired cuz I brought them into my local shop to get installed.

Basically, to signal/talk to other on-coming driver's at night without the need to turning off the headlights.

You got hids off a new maxima? The only maxima that came with HIDs is the 2002 and that uses a 9006 bulb...how did it fit into your 9004 housing???

I guess very carefully , like I said before, I had these put in by my local guy..I wasnt watching.. They are lined up and all, and boy are they bright ..like I said the only problem I am having is I lost the high beams, which to me, is important. Does anybody know of any place I can look for the one bulb hi/low?

You could contact (via PM) and ask if they will just sell you the bulb minus the ballasts and starters.

Some of them were talking about different color bulbs they were selling. Can't hurt to ask

Do you sell the wire harness or know how much they cost for the stock hid kit.

Big Sun in taiwan sells hi/low kits that actually use 2 bulbs for under $400 shipped. I placed my order, but had to pull out cuz I needed the $ elsewhere. I'll order again towards the end of January. Sorry for keeping everybody waiting. I want these as badly as y'all do!
