intake add acceleration?

intake add acceleration?

hi, i know the intake helps to give HP. i think for acceleration, but i dont know if can works in high speed i mean to get more speed 120-up. i put mine(frankencar) and didnt notice any change the top spèed is 127 mph with the intake and with stock air box. I like the loud and i think the car accelerate more but under 60 mph

It takes A LOT of high end HP to increase top speed. More than the 5-10 hp you get from an intake

To increase top speed by a certain percentage, you need to add the square of that percentage.

For example, if you want 10% more top speed, you have to add roughly 21% more power. The vast majority of losses are due to aerodynamics. Aerodynamic losses go up at the square of speed.

Example, I'm at 360hp at the crank, and my top speed isn't over 160.

These numbers dont add correctly....
21% is not the square of 10% ...how are you getting these numbers?

i think your car has a speed cut off if it only tops out at 127.......my car bone stock hit 140 no problems
