Does anyone have a G-Tech?!

I am curious if those G-Techs are worth the money for finding data about my Maxima. I guess I am curious about the accuracy of the little bastard. Anyone who has one let me know what you think of them.

i have a g-tech pro. it's fun to mess around with. if you do decide to get one... don't pay more than $90 for one. retail is over $100, but there are places to get it cheap.

Re: Does anyone have a G-Tech?!

Hello fellow Maxima enthusiasts:

I also have a G-tech, its worth it the reason I purchased one is because my maxima was completely reconstructed, which included a Garret T04 turbo. It was crucial to know stats on 0-60 and 1/4 mile time. They are pretty damn accurate. Major technology behind it.

mmm, nother turbo maxima

I have one as well, and I find it to be somewhat accurate...However, the times aren't accurate...When I first started driving my car, I couldn't break 16 seconds..With a little more practice, and an intake, I broke to mid-15's...After a Y-Pipe, I broke into the 14's twice...I went to the track, and granted it was my first time there, crappy track, crappy tires, I ran a 15.6....the g-tech may not always be accurate on times, but it does show the improvement that mods may have on your times.

I got the new G-tech with the little LCD screen for Christmas and its really nice. Displays a dyno graph and everything. However, I've only got to use it once because of all this terrible weather. It seemed accurate. I ran a 15.2 @ 93mph with a 60' 0f 2.6x. (It was raining and I couldn't get traction)

Yes, through the cigarette lighter. You have to calibrate it but its money after that.

Those of you who have them AND run @ the track- have you ever run the g-tech @ the track for comparison?

I haven't had the chance yet but I do know that the numbers aren't going to be the same unless you have a perfect .500 reaction time.
