Fuel filter replacement with ABS
I just finished changing the fuel filter from hell. When I first started I did not expect it to be such a hassle. My first attempt at removing the fuel hoses from the old was a crash and burn. I got nowhere fast. The hoses were not budging and since I have ABS there was barely enough room to even get my hands on the filter. I decided to search the org to see what others have experienced. I was determined not to get soaked for $60 at the dealer for such a simple maintenance job. I found a thread by hyuin001 where he had
disconnected the fuel hose from the engine block then dropped the filter down and accessed the bottom hose from the bottom by taking the left front wheel off. It was still a tough job but I got it done and my max is running like a dream. Thanks for the thread hyuin001.
