I need help trying to install a Varad EL scanner. There are 3 wires that I need to deal with. A red wire that goes to the + battery, a black wire that goes to ground, and a yellow wire that goes to the ignition; that way the system is armed when the ignition is off/key is removed. I understand how to connect the red and black wire. Just not too sure about the yellow wire. The diagram show that the yellow wire goes to the fuse box(one just above your left knee.) So, how am I suppose to go about this? Which fuse in the fuse box do I have to connect the yellow wire to? And when I connect the wire to the fuse, do I just connect it directly? i.e.(Just take the wire, stick the wire into where the fuse would go, and then plug the fuse in there also?) I am just not too sure. Thanks for any help.

just take the wire and wrap it around the

fuse and then put the fuse back in. see if you can find another way to connect the that yellow wire b/c i never did safe with a wire jammed into the fusebox.

Ok, now which fuse though? Which specific fuse should I connect the wire to? That's the part I can't figure out, or just not too sure.

another alternative is the yellow wire to the

radio. this wire supplies constant power so that your radio remembers stuff you programmed in like radio stations, etc. if you have an aftermarket radio, its the yellow wire on the wiring harness. if not lets see, try the hazard lamp fuse. i just went to my car and those lights work w/o the keys.
