Those with RVM Pulley

I just want to know, since ive seen so many different part numbers and belts when i search, which is the best one everyone has used. I really dont feel like buying 6 different types of belts and trying them all. Thanks

Double check the part #s because I'm not sure if the RVM and PR UDPs use the same belts (they probably do). Also check your belts when you buy them: I was given a belt with the correct packaging but the WRONG belt.

While we're speaking about belts I bought 3:

Alternator & Water Pump
1995-02 Gates # K060408

Power Steering
1995-02 Gates # K040292
If this one does not fit then try: Gates # K040300

I tried to fit the K040292 and there was NO way it would fit. I ran the adjuster all the way down and it was still too tight to fit on. I used the K040300 with no problems though

well neither of the first 2 fit my car. I had to get the K060410 and the K040300.
K040292 is too small. And K060408 may be too small also. Just buy all four and return the 2 you don't need. That's if you have a local dealer of of the gates belts. But the nissan OEM powersteering pump belt fits the RVM.

Also...

Did anyone who recently purchased the pulley from the GD get a "stainless steel oil sleeve"?

In my instruction sheet it says "Check to see that stainless steel oil sleeve is mounted to the rear of the pulley". I am assuming that its like the inserts UR includes on their pulley for the crankshaft oil seal. However the pics I've seen of the RVM pulley people have posted during their installs doesn't have it (like mine). Am I missing something here? Is he coming out with Version 2 and we got stuck with the lesser ones ?

Also the surface that rides the oil seal isn't perfectly smooth too.
