Well my short shifter's return spring broke, so I had to fix it. Well in order to fix it I need to remove the cat. So I replaced the spring double checked everything. So I was going to put the cat back on, but I wanted to hear how the VQ sounds with a open header. So I hit the button on my alarm to remote start it (since I was under the car), the VQ sounds crazy without the exhaust. So I get out of the car, and give it some gas and I was that one loud ****. It sounds like a high pitched throaty V8. Then my neighbors come, and tell me to keep it down because I was making to much noise. Then I started wondering how much louder it would be with a y-pipe header. Humm... I need to get one to find out.
