Trying to put in 1157 bulbs
Hi guys I 'm trying to put in my 1157's and I heard to do that you have to take out the whole corner light. I'm talking about the ones next to the headlights. I unscrewed the screw and I heard all you do is pull it out away from your car but it seems like it is snapped on in a few places. I'm unsure of what to do and I don't want to break anything. Please help me, tell me what to do...I need to put these bulbs in
Hi, well, the thing still holding your corner light in, is a ball and socket joint...
if you look down right behind the corner light, you will see it.
all you have to do is take a flathead screwdriver, and stick it right in between where the ball goes into the socket, and twist... it should pop the ball right out, and make taking your corner out SIMPLE!
also, if you want to make the bulb shine about twice as bright...
you will see two "nipples" on the side of where the bulb goes into the connector (the brass ring on the bottom of the light)... they are what hold the bulb in the socket.
what you want to do, is cut the nipple that is higher than the other off.
then, put the bulb in backwards.
TA DA!!! your light will shine twice as bright!

If you feel around down under the light from behind, you can grab the socket and unscrew it to get at the bulb. It's tight, but once you get a feel for it, it's pretty easy.
