Where to get good yellow h3 bulbs.

Where can I get a decent pair of yellow h3 bulbs at a decent price? Currently I have Piaa superwhites in 9004 and h3. THey suck in rain. It is almost like I do not have the lights on. PLease let me know where you guys are getting these bulbs from. What wattage should I get? I know stock is 55watts. Heliolite any good? thanks

For the 10,000th time...I miss search...

PIAA Ion Crystal - Junk. Ricey. Not very yellow. Obscenely overpriced.

Hella Yellow Star 85w - Junk. Not yellow. Used to be good when they were made in germany, the Korean ones are aweful. I blew one in a week. If you want them I have 6 pairs I'll sell.

Narva 85w yellow H3's from suvlights.com - Good so far. Nice and yellow. Will probably blow/crack a lens because of heat eventually but I am satisfied.

Infinity QX4's use yellow H3 bulbs...so this might be a possibility but I haven't investigated.

I thought that the Infinity was a yellow lens- I am possibly mistaken.

I like my Crystal ions. They look ricey, but DO throw a decent yellow light on the road. They do not look deep yellow when you look at the lights, but the emitted light seems to be yellow to me, and it assists in rain/fog just fine for me.

I sit corrected on the infinity lenses- I saw a set today and the set that was beside me was indeed clear. SOme 240s have yellow. Maybe that is what I was thinking of...

Yea you're right...I should qualify the PIAA comments by saying that they *look* ricey and they *look* not yellow. The light they cast is pretty decent.

I don't think Narva makes 55w ones...at least I haven't seen them. Post and let us know about the Infiniti lights. That might be a good hookup for people who want 55w.

Damn! Sorry to send you on the wild goose chase mang...I thought we had a solution there for a minute...my bad!

I wonder what he means by yellow lens though. I wonder if it's something we could adapt. Although, I'm not sure if it would be worth it for me because I'm happy with 85W, but I'm sure others would be interested.

Maybe we can buy the yellow bulb shields for the infinity bulbs. All H3 bulbs are the same size, right?

I heard you can put a yellow condom, from a motorcycle shop, over the h3 bulb. Not sure if this is true or not. Can someone verify.

ive heard of the "condom", called a few bike shops already.. no one knows anything.. and by yellow lense i mean there is a convex projector lense with yellow paint on mounted infront of the white h3 bulb. this is how lexus gets its super yellow color..it works because glass doesnt conduct heat very well so the glass doesnt get hot enough to burn off the paint. its teh only real way to get a really nice deep yellow. the older acura tl's use this method. i was thinking about buying these lenses from a lexus dealer and then putting it into the max but ive heard that the glass fogs are really hard to get open.. unlike the headlights which re cake with 15 mins in a 250 degree oven. dont know when ill ever get around to tryign this. someone else wana try?
