dynomax muffler installed

dynomax muffler installed

i got my dynomax muffler and budget b pipe put on the other day, the muffler has a deep sound to it when i got my foot on the gas, if i floor it i hear my intake more... i have a rattle sound when i just rev my engine, will that eventaully go away? but other than that i am pretty happy, except when i got the $210 bill from my mechanic

did you get the super turbo muffler? If so where and how much was it???

What kind of dynomax was it?! Im also happy with mine, i love it..

guess im not going to that mechanic for my exhaust

if that was for new pipping and stuff, the price including the muffler isnt bad. I paid nowhere near that for my dualies however..

i got the super turbo muffler, i paid 60 shipped for it on some website.... he charged me so much because all the welding, because one of the pipes doesnt fit right, so he had to bend a pipe to clamp it

bring it back make him fix it to your perfection...that is what I am doing with the guy that just fixed mine on Friday. I loved the sound of it ...but since I brought it to him, I can't even hear it. I love the muffler..sounds good

So if I have a budget Y-Pipe and decide to get the dynomax muffler w/my stock B-Pipe since my old muffler is rusting out will it take a lot of custom work to fit. I figured it would be a typical install...welding hangers ect..I'm not going to need a custom piece made am I???

nothing that any good exhaust shop couldn't do...it's not that hard at all

The rattling sound is probably from the exhaust banging. Take it back to the shop and have them fix it. You paid good money, they should take car of it. Just don't go in all mad. Just explain your problem, and they should take care of it.

BTW, did you ever get your suspension done? I guess you got those dust boots.

i had a super turbo muffler and was very happy with the sound until i installed a ypipe. it became very loud, raspy, and irritating. so if you like your dynomax, a ypipe will make you switch back to you stock exhaust.

do all mufflers sound like crap with a y pipe??? or just this one

in most cases its not that the y-pipe makes the muffler sound bad, its just that with the y-pipe more air is opened so it significantly increases noise level.

I totally dig the sound my Terminator muffler makes on my setup. It sounds like no other car out there in my opinion...maybe I'm just biased. It's louder than I always think though...and I like loud.
