My trunk won't open.

I tried search already but couldn't find anything. I tried to open up my trunk today and I won't pop open. I tried the key but that didn't work either. I hear the click when I push the realease but for some reason it doesn't pop open. Does any of know y and how to fix this problem without taking it to the stealership? Thanks for all you help in advance.

If you go to it and pull it up, does it open? If so, open up the lid and look up inside where the speakers are you will see two horizontal bars going across. What those adjust the amount of vertical movement that lid travels before its stops when you press the release. I would say yank down on it hard but not hard enough to break them and see if the trunk actually popups up.

what did you put wd40 on exactly, try having someone press the release button on the door while you push up on it

get someone who is small like a little kid or a tiny brother or sister, get them to climb through the back seat armrest thing, and while you are clicking your remote/ using the key get them to push up on the turnk real hard.

this happened to me once and I forget what I was doing, maybe messing with that little mechanism that opens, but i mashed it down and it stuck, so i just shut my trunk and and then tested it and NOTHING ! just heard the clicking noise.. then i sat around thinking how stupid i was for doing that and wondering how in the world i was going to get it opened. only thing i could think of was the stealership as well. then I kicked myself and thought about manually opening it with my key.

so maybe you should try your key again, which overrides your remote thingy. give it a good tug while you are opening it

There is a button on the trunk latch that disables the electric relase. You'll still hear it click, but it won't open. My key didn't wok in the trunk either.

I opened the ski door and used a flashlight and pole to get it open. Don't recall precisely what I did - I must have clicked that switch across or something...

If all else fails the stealership or a locksmith may have some generic/mester keys that may work.
