HELP-rattle noise after install of Ypipe.
Ok just got done installing my Budget Y pipe and now when i take off in first and second gear my car rattles. I think it is coming from the stock cat and heat sheild. Was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so how did u fix it. thanks

yes. you can do this yourself. get under your car and bash the heat shield away form the cat. some people remove the whole thing. personally i still get a rattle snake soud from my y when i'm in 1st n 2nd aroud 2k rpms...i belive its from the flex section, i plan to wrap the y in exhaust wrap to get rid of the souds....hope that helps i had the heatshield problem myself righ after i installed the y...good luck!!!

someone was talking about how they did a homemadeghetto wrap.. get aluminum wrap and trifold it in line a 10 ft section and wrap teh flex pipe like you would a tennis racket handle. use ss steal clamps. i duno if it works but he says it got rid of his rattle.. wrap it tight

Yep that was me...Aluminum foil works great on the flex section but the only problem is with the foil it gets loose easily and the noise comes back. Tomorrow i'm gonna re-tighten the foil and use 2-3 more ss clamps. Cheaper than exhaust wrap, but im ordering exaust wrap just to see how it does on lowering the under hood temps.
