Replacing In-Cabin Microfilter

The nissan maitenence recomends replacing the in-cabin filter every 15,000 miles. Is this necessary, and is it easy to do?

Re: Replacing In-Cabin Microfilter

It is maintenance that will help you breathe easier, but that is about it. The filter is for the air intake on the a/c blower motor. My '98 SE does not have one, so I made one. I am not sure where it would be on your car.

I have a 98 SE also, and I have allergies, plus the DC pollution, so some clean air would be good.

I posted a thread a month or two ago about this and how to add one. I do not believe that you have one stock. The filter only filters in-cabin, recirculated air. If you can't find the post with the search feature, let me know.
