Tried brightening my clearence lights

I followed those directions on the FAQ section with clipping the top nub and electrical taping it and putting in in the highter nubs location, and i did all this and checked it three times. All with the same result, no corners when the headlights where on, but bright corners (like normal) when the turn signals on. I tried flipping the bulb to the now lower end of the socket and it just worked like normal, so is there something im missing, or can my max be wired differently. help

That clearance light "rewire" only works for 97-99 Maximas. 95-96 Maximas have turning lights (when u signal the corner light lights up brighter) 97-99 don't so we have the option to run them at a higher intensity. Im pretty sure thats the reason..

Use a 1156 bulb and clip one of the nubs off

It'll be bright all the time...
