Installed wps Y need to align exhaust
Finally put in the warpspeed Y into my 96 gle auto.
Took about 4 hours but i allowed lots of time for a DIY (one cat bolt !!)
Anyways , I printed of some instructions i found on the org and throught the various Y pipe makes.
I followed a combination of warpspeed and stillen instructions.
- pulled down slack for rear o2 sensor
- unplugged and removed front with pipe
After installling the stillen instructions say that the rubber hangers should be a 90 degrees. I have one at 90 (drivers side) and the other has about 5-8 degrees off. The b hanger just after the resonator is off too, i guess closer to 10 degrees. Instructions mentioned cutting/bending or slotting the support. Didn't quite follow what they meant.
I think i have a little contact when taking off in first. Giving the gas a decent shot (not flooring it , just an quicker take-off) of gas the new growl (under 2k) causes some vibration. I think it's contact as sometimes it feels like a rattle and sometimes it's the exhaust.
The balance of the exhaust is stock for now but the muffler is on it's way.
Any suggestion/help welcome
Thanks , martin
