Only 4th gen with a badge is the SE-L's, but the badge is on the door. You can get a badge from Nissan parts for a 5th gen, all the SEs have badges on the rear.

Coming up the Van Wyck tonight, I saw a '98-'99 with the GLE emblem from the 5Gens. My opinion? All or nothing, leave them all on, or take them all off.

keep in mind that the 5th gen se badges are black pearl and not chrome, so they wont match the chrome 4th gen badges

Hey guys, the only other 4th gen with a badge on the trunk is my '99 ES Limited that was only available in Canada. Here is a picture of it: Really Old Pic Sorry, but this is a really old pic. Now I have shaved off both the Nissan and Maxima emblems and this summer I'll shave off the ES emblem too.

It kinda sucks that Nissan did not put SE badges for 4th gen Maximas, while they did it for their Pathfinders (go figure ...)! Anyway, I ordered a SE badge from the Pathfinder from Courtesy (or any other dealer, I guess would have it) and the badge matches perfectly with the Maxima lettering in the rear. Hope this helps.

I agree - I got mine from Courtesy and it looks fine. 1.800.527.1909 it was under $10, I think.

re: badges

Funny how so many Max guys want to peel the badges *OFF* and here you guys actually want to add more badges! Anyway, I left mine alone cuz I have the fender stickers on my SE-L.

Nick, why is it so important to you that people know whether your Max is an SE or some other trim level? I would think as long as you're doing it right, they shouldn't have time to read the badges!

If you really want people to think your car is fast, why dontcha go buy some "VTEC" or "Type-R" badges. Now that'll impress the people who *really* care what letters your car has on it (pretty much no one).

C'mon everyone who cares that the 4th gen. isn't labeled? People should already know, I mean the SE is the best model, no questions asked.
