95 Max, rattle in front suspension.

Here it goes.

About 15K miles ago or so, I put in my new KYB AGX struts with all new bushings, strut mounts etc.. etc.. (meaning everything taken out was replaced with new, minus springs). Nothing old was put back in, again, except for original springs.

Now, I am getting a rattle in the drivers front wheel area. Mostly only on up and down motions. I can go and pull on the top of the wheel/tire and get this noise. It is a rattle, that sounds like it is coming from in around the wheel itself. Almost as if the wheel had loose lugs (but this is not the case).

I was told by a mechanic (not Nissan) that it would not be the wheel bearing, he says they make a whining noise more than a rattle when worn.

He suggested probably the axle is worn. My CV boots are in great shape, no leakage, no clicking or any noise at all from them.

Anyone else ever experinced this "rattle" in the wheel area? If so, what was it and how was it fixed. Again, it is only on the drivers side.

This is the 1st problem with the car (other than an O2 sensor replacement at 110K or so) since It was new. So I can't complain one bit. The car now has almost 124K on it now.

Thanks alot for any info

Strut Mounts

Strut mounts all new as well. The noise is not coming from up where they are.

Make sure the 2 lower bolts on the strut didn't come loose.

Thanks, I'll look into that tomorrow.

Any other possibilities?
