Aww Pete. I can vouch for him. He has been watching the Org for a very long time so he isn't really new. He is very knowledgeable and loves his maxima just like any of us.

if he watched the org for so long, and hes so knowledgable, why was his first post a thread about how to clean his throttle body your statment doesnt make sense with that thread

I know quite a few local guys with modded maximas how just lurk, soaking up the knowledge, but don't normally actively contribute to threads generally.

Loki I trust you are doing your runs N/A rather than with the spray. I'm interested to see the results.

You see the problem is , no question is stupid. Not because someone is inquiring about something simple(with regards to what others consider simple on this Org), give any indication that they are uninformed . We are fully aware that even if a modification for our lovely Max is described a million times (on this Org) , most of us will continue to ask the same quesitons again . The reason we do this, is because we do not want to hurt our dear friend(our MAX). I will end this lenghty reply to remind all the flamers, there are many like myself who have been looking at this Org. since we owned our 3rd gen! That was since 1998 for me! I only joined when my dear VG30DE had a sick day. There are guys in Queens NYC that have the typical Stillen kit , ect. The funny thing is they never heard of Maxima.org. Some of these guys have S.C / turbo. Keep an open mind and share the knowledge.

P.S Oh and next time you visit the 4th gen forum , you will almost always see me on the list, viewing that is(every post ,everyday ) .

In response to SXN, not everyone knows everything. Pete is a good kid and knows what he is doing. Again, I am 100% behind him and he is 100% behind his car, I hope.

Pete, When you coming to Umass, brotha?

you're probably mistaken then. From his posts it looks like 150hp was his biggest but that's with colder plugs...

we'll see how it goes...picking up my car today. dyno on sat after my computer compensates. don't worry about n20 yet. i wouldnt be running it on a dyno anyway. and its not like ive been spying and watchin the forum for like 3 years or something...its not creepy to go to maxima.org or custom maxima and not to the forums all the time is it??? who cares if i havent posted anything until i needed to and at this point i decided it was time to sign on and get some headers.

PS-maximas are awesome, those are ideas i have to make my car more awesome and try to push the limits of what a max can do.

PPS- im comin out this weekend to umass

The headers have been installed. They do fit like a glove on the Maxima.

Now after letting xloki77x enjoy his headers, he will report back and post his independent review

headers!!!!!!!

I was there. **** is nice. Though looking at the stock headers I can see some room for improvement...I talked to Pete as we drove back along the highway after we picked the car up from the shop. He said he felt it accelerate faster up to 6k. I'm sure he'll post on this later. We're meeting up later and I'm going for a ride. The headers look nice and shiny and the egr was a bit tricky but it worked out. From what Pete said on the phone it sounded like a larger increase then I expected. Oh and Pete is one damn lucky guy to have those free headers he is prototyping from stone racing. I'm envious. I want those Dyno results!

peace

headers are a done deal. they are pretty nice. i had little to no sound increase but first gear ends way too soon. second gear, though, picks up where 1st leaves off all the way to redline. on the highway 3rd gear was great. a lot more pull at the top end than before. i can't wait to have it dyno'd. ill have it by next tuesday cuz that my only day off between now and then. for anybody wondering, you want these headers.

1st ends too soon? um...whats that mean? loss of power? not enough torque?
