that doesnt make sound like first gear is so amazingly fast... "ends way too soon" sounds negative. maybe lost some back pressure, so lost some torque, but high flow makes it better at freeway speeds and high end?

xloki77x ,

I am glad you enjoyed them.

Guys,

The EGR bung has been added and it works great.

So, far I do not see any negatives

We will take more pictures. New for xloki77x hooked up ride, more pictures of the second set with the EGR bung. And, of course, a dyno is coming

I will keep you posted on the process.

um to me i think he means that he goes through first alot quicker than before the headers, therefore they are making good power i mean if he LOST power why would 1st gear end too soon? it would end alot later if anything

should i give you a better review for being an anus to me? think about that next time. what i meant by "first gear go ends way too soon" is that 1st gear is amazing. it completely rips through all the way up to redline. and yes, between about 3000 and 5500 a nice deep growl is heard, in any gear. these headers make great power low-end, high-end, and everywhere in between. Also, it seems to make the transition all the way up the power band A LOT smoother than before. to be honest, i think there great. on the highway, i could definetly feel the difference at cruising speed (75mph). i could accelerate with in ease even in 5th gear. when i dropped down into 3rd at about 75mph i just flat out took off. then, through 4th, and then the god ole govener kicked in (without even getting into fifth). With the JWT ECU it will roar every which way not to mention with the MEVI. but thats a different story all the same.
so if you want more ill give it to you, but ive only had the car for a couple hours and thats what i can tell you for now. so go have fun in ur max's and dont worry about the headers...they are wonderful in and out.

im sorry if you didnt understand it. i should have been more clear. i was just trying to give you guys a heads up about the headers and that for ure wasn't the only review i was going to give you. since i am the first one to get them then i guess im obligated to give you a decent review but i can't do that by driving my car for little while on the highway and have the know-all about them. what i really wanted to do was go drive my car and inspect them, listen to them, and most of all feel them. numbers will be coming soon, i cannot dislose them right now...even i dont know exactly what they are. again, i will keep youi posted and continue to answer any question or comments you have.

the only one with headers? what about catmans? congrats on releasing the first set, the results sound a lot more promising that many people (including me) thought they would be

you didnt say "only one", Nashua did...unless....

nah but seriously, i'm very interested to see dyno's too, keep us updated. Either way it sounds like its gonna show some descent numbers to say the least. How much will these be going for if they sound like they make good gains?

I think it's a pretty well established fact that butt-dynos are worthless.

as i drove my car today, i realized that the headers made just as much, if not more than my y pipe did when i first put it on. ask torgus...he rode in it last night.

Unless I'm missed it, where are your before dyno numbers? I'm curious to see the new dyno too. Make sure you're using the same machine and pretty much the same conditions, engine temp, etc. I also hope you guys used a Dyno Jet machine and got rpm vs hp/tq and not this MPH vs hp crap we see everyonce in a while.

Is the car any louder with the headers (ie exhaust noise, raspiness). How long did it take the shop to install them and what was their opinion on install?

Yeah, but was there a "before" dyno? If so, where is it?

Well that's just great. So unless he's making about 20-30 hp more than a similar Maxima without headers, the dyno test will be inconclusive.

20hp? jeebus... thats a mighty claim. dyno is the only way to actually prove the power increase "it feels faster" isnt going to get everyone to drop their money for it...hope they did one

lol of course there was a before dyno! that # i know but it is not mine to share.

i did drive in the car and had driven in it before the header install. i feel the increase also. i don't believe you can feel less then a 10 HP increase imo. so i think it'll be around there or a lil higher. not 20 though. the next dyno is next tuesday. don't expect dyno numbers. talk to Nashua(mike) about those #s. the #s as far as i understand are confidential because of the use of a competetors y pipe, and not Stone Racings. so i doubt we'll see the dyno results. unless they are extremly substantial and make the headers look good. we're not going to see them. pete's second gear seemed really nice btw...oh and the install took about 9 hrs. but they fit on with no problems the reason for the extra time was the shop adding the EGR port. IMO it should have taken 6 hours. 8 if the shop didn't know what they were doing. but 3 hrs to add a egr bung does seem a little much...i think thats the time spent on the install. ask nashua for the exact time...

there is a reason to keep them to myself. its not my #s, its not my car. this is a buisness transaction and the #s are to remain confidential untill Stone Racing aka Mike says we can tell you. now the before dyno i don't see as a problem. ask Mike or Pete for the #s. i will not be giving them out for i have not been given permission to. sorry guys. i know you want to know bad. bug mike!

Butt dynos are worthless. You're mind can play tricks with you. I feel a big Hp increase everytime I change my intake, only to realize that 2 days later it's just as slow as before...
