IACV screws, do i need locktite ?

i was cleaning my iacv a few days ago and i took that gold cap off of it to clean better,
now my Q is, should i put anything to make sure the screws won't destroy my engine or should i be fine. i put htem in there really tight. i don't want anytthing to happen, like hte MEVI screws not staying in place and going into hte engine

thnx, i will delete after i get my answer

Hey, you might as well. THat part doesn't see the vibrational stress that the MEVI butterfly's do, but of note is that more current 4th gen IACV's do not even have that gold cap with the screws! Maybe that is for a good reason...

Not at all. Like I said, that gold cap is not even there on newer IACV's. You can see where it would go on it but there is no gold cap and no threads for the screws on it. Trust me... you can leave it off. At worst, you may have to clean it more frequently but on the flip side, it is easier to clean. Just clean your IACV the next time you clean your TB.
