how much of it do i need.
Hey there everyone.
Im thinking about ordering the stillen aerokit for my max in few months. the kit itself is 700 bux. i was looking for some paint on paintscratch.com ( my paint is sterling mist pearl grey) and i was shocked. a gallon of paint is 300 bux and the clear coat is 100. from what i see, i could be spending hundreds on the paint itself and that has made me very sad. how much paint did you guys use when u painted the stillen kit and how much did u pay for paint? did you order online or went to body shop and had em painted?
I would like to hear from lots of people and know what they did. I think having a body shop to paint it will be much cheaper but still, how much should i expect to pay and how much paint/clrear coat is needed?

go to a shop, they will do it for less then 300. i got my rear bumper and rear passenger door painted for less then 350. and thas more paint then a lipkit would use and i have a 3 layer paint. also it was dupont paint.

definately just take it to a shop, also, i dont think you will need the greatest paint available out there, you will only end up repainting stuff in the future (im assuming you are low?) anyways, just take it to a shop

how much tho, what would the highest price be? i dont want to order the body kit and take it to a shop and the shop throw me a 500 dollar fee. i would only get the kit if the paint will be about 200, cuz other than that, it will be 2 expensive. u think i can find a shop for 200 or thats just a dream? since i dont have the kit with me, i cant take it to a shop and get a price quote, unless i take some decent pics of it.

my friend got his done for 400. NOt too shabby, but when it comes to a body kit, its better to get it done RIGHT. I've seen ppl drive w/body kits and mismatching colors. Cosmetic wise, this is very important.

def. take it to a shop...I am not sure on the price becuase I got my whole car and kit painted at the same time...but a gallon of paint will do way more than what you need...you should just need a few oz's
