On my key fob my panic button doesnt seem to work... I noticed this after loosing my car for about an hour in a parking lot

All the other buttons on the fob work just fine, where should i start looking to trouble shoot this?

do you know that to trigger the panic button you gotta hold it for like 5 seconds?
If you are just pressing it, it wont work!
trouble shooting=buy a new one off ebay
