need help installing gauge rings. when i try to get the cover off ( the one with 2 screws in the top) the bottom part wont come out and it feels like it is breaking. i am scared to pull to hard and break it. what do i do?

Had the same problem. The black surrounding plastic piece, correct? The bottom is tricky, as its held in by a few clips. You have to pull it hard. Use some force and dont be scared and it should pop right off along with the clips.

Take out the buttons on the bottom and disconnect them. Then you can stick your fingers in the holes to get a better grip on the bottom section.
