My Trunk is sticking

My trunk recently won't open with the remote OR the button under the driver side door. The only way I can open it is manually with a key, thing is, when I remote open it, I hear a clunk, like it's functioning but it won't open. Anybody else have this problem?

I had the same problem...here's how I fixed it.

1) Open your trunk
2) Where the bottom latch is, there is a long piece of plstic, right by the bumper. Take that off, then you can get to the actual latch.
3) There is a cable that has to connect to that latch from the left (you should be able to figure that out).
4) Be sure everything is tight, bolts, and all

That's how I fixed it. Hope that helps.

In my trunk, there is a manual switch if you put your head inside the trunk and look down at the latch. You should see a little lever. It may have accidentally been switched, if you even have this on your model, i am unsure. Check it out before taking the harder route. I read in the manual that that switch disables every way to open the trunk, except if you use the key

Absolutely check that little lever, happened to me when something i was carrying in the trunk flipped the little lever... Felt dumb when I finally read the owners manual....
