Problem with stock muffler OR stock B pipe

When I stand at the rear of my Max, I hear a groaning noise from the stock muffler OR from the stock B pipe. Is there a way to determine the specific part and does it mean that it needs to be replaced? If so, do I need to torch the flange nuts like the Y-pipe? Thanks.

cant tell unless you get down there and look at the piping for a leak.
