The best and perhaps the easiest way to do this is to take the throtle body out which allows easy access to the TPS. There are two philips head screws that hold it down.

no, i didn't...i had my friend checked it out n he told me the cause of the problem was the alternator n not the sensor itself. i remembered that my car had a alternator recall couple years ago...should this still be covered???

I think the alternator recall was vin specific....there is info on it here somewhere...if you are covered you should be able to just call the dealer and let them know you need to get your's replaced under the recall...

i just called n they told me there is no recall...i think my car should be one of the bunch that should be covered. when my car hit around 30k miles my engine died n i had the alternator replaced under warranty, at around 55k they send me a letter notifyin me of a recall...i bought it in n they were done w/my car in less than an hr...so i don't know if they replaced a new one or not...now at 90k the alternator is mess up again...grr.

so wat do u think...should it still be covered even though i brought in my car to had it look at durin the time of the recall which is couple years ago.
