ok i just got my budget y pipe and test pipe prolly gonna install them on saturday,but i had a ? for yous.my y pipe doesnt have any hangers on it and i saw the pic of the one that was cale spec that had hangers.now do fed spec y pipes need hangers or do i have to remove it from my stock y any info would be good thanx.also i was a little disapointed that the bolts didnt come with it when i asked the lady when i was orderin it and she said yes.

 

there are no hangers on the fed spec cars. The bolts dont come with it becuase they are on the car already , all you will need are new gaskets which should of came with the pipe

hey i was just wondering if my test pipe was gonna trip the cel

 

My test pipe tripped the SES light. It threw a 702 code, 3 way catalyst malfunction sensed by the rear o2 sensor. I reset the ECU after pulling the code and it went away. The purpose of the rear 02 sensor is to monitor the catalysts, if you remove them without resetting the ECU the computer will sense the change. Resetting the ECU, makes the computer think think your open exhaust is the normal baseline condition.
