"Clunk" noise when turning wheel or hitting bumps

I have been experiencing a "clunk" noise when I pull out of my driveway and then turn the wheel back to the right to drive out. I hear the same noise, on occasion when breaking, or when hitting bumps. I seems to be coming from the front end passenger side. Anyone had similar problems with this?

Yeah, i hear a clunk noise, but it has to do with me being lowered and my struts blow to all hell....

Are you lowered or anything?

Maybe a cv joint?

Yeah, I get the same clunk noise from the passenger side whenever I come over a bump a little faster than I should. I've got a 1.3 drop on my car.

If you're lowered it is most likely the spring or strut...check the strut for failure or check to see if the spring is set correctly in its seat.

Otherwise you should also check the cv joints for rips in the boot or signs of leaking.

It could be the front strut bearings, axles, or your suspension is not seated properly

I know mine isn't set properly and it is really ****ing me off to hear the clunking noises. I should really go and fix it sometime.

Nissan charged me $450 to replace the cv boots. I also have a crunching sound over bumps but my car is lowered. I think that the spring isn't seated right.

How can you find out if you have a blown strut?

jack the car up from suspected area, take a looksie inside...you'll know it's blown to hell when you got grease leaking everywhere...

Not ness true kid. I blew my front left KYB AGX and there was no leakage. It is easy to tell if a strut is blown. Your car wont handle as well, and the car will spring around when you push down on the corner of it.

My car is not lowered. I did have a ripped CV boot and just had it repaired. Unless of course he didn't check to see if the joint was OK.

is it hard to replace, any special tools needed.. I think this is my problem too. only I sounds like the noise speeds up as i accelerate, then fades away. sounds like it's coming from right under the dash. anyone?

Maybe you should move to a dry state like Arizona or Nevada

Could be a power steering leak tht propagated tolower control arm bushing damage. Power steering could leak down and damage the bushings, therfore eating away at the bushing to where it clunks metal on metal
