i want to get component speakers in the front, and some speakers in the back. i'm not into getting any subs, but i still want an amp to improve my sound. can anyone give me a good setup? all i want is crisp, deep sound.

i'm thinking of getting this rockford amp at best buy, $129. anyone think that's a good deal? i also need some help on what sizes are best for the front and back speakers. thanks

Well, the stock speaker size is 6.5S front and rear. The "S" is for 6.5" oversized speakers.

Your boy put in the speakers, eh? You don't sound old enough to have a son that age....

I didn't use components, but the Max uses 6 1/2 oversize for both fron and rear.
I got 2 pairs of Fosgate FRC1206 on Ubid.com for $27 bucks a pair. They sound pretty damn good for "non" separates.
Check out Ubid....they always have Fosgate speakers (even compos), and if you catch it right, you can get them for about $90 a pair.

Later....

It is possible to pot a 6 1/2 component set behind the factory grille on the front door. I would go for the 6x9 speakers in the rear hence they will provide more thump.
