KS replacement and butt dyno experiences...

As soon as i replaced my ks, my car was hella fast!!!...then gradually slowed back down as if my ecu was relearning with the new KS....should loosen the KS? I tightened it a lot when i installed it...could it be too sensitive?

I think your butt dyno is probably playing with your head. you knock sensor is either retarding your timing or not.

And the KS doesn't do jack unless you clear the code from the ECU right after the install. I can vouch for that and a few others...

OMG, i hate posts like this, makes me want to run and get a new knock sensor. Everyone makes it sound like the next best thing to a turbo. You got the 03 04 code right? I'm begging for my car to throw that code lol, just so i know it has more potential than what its showing right now.

I love my car all over again. It's unbelievable how much faster and more responsive it is. It's the first time it's been this good since the day I got it, 18months on a bad KS. I ove it...

i did recieve an 03 04 code...and i did properly reset the ecu....the code no longer exists...however, my car was super fast then gradually slowed back down to where it is....checked the KS with a meter...reading perfect and the no code exists still, I just think my ecu got a huge boost in timing when i replaced the KS, then my ecu adjusted for it...and retarded a little...in either case, its not just me getting used the sensor, because I can't spin my 235/45/17 tires while rolling from 30 anymore....now, they grip?!?! whereas right after the KS replacement and ecu reset...my car was a monster!
