nah, i like the red... matches the car... the red is actually alot deeper when you look at it, and not through a camera.

where can i find some 194 bulb sockets? and with the sockets, there's no need for soldering correct?
i'm afraid of soldering, i can make it really messy

I tried #74 LED's from superbrightleds.com but they didn't light up the entire range of the gauges. There were dark spots all over, besides the gauges were royal blue instead of super white. The leds have a very strong blue tint to them.
There are only way two ways to do this mod.
#1) As you just read, use a dremel and then solder 194's to the brass rings on the electrical filament sheet(the blue plastic sheet behind the gauges).

#2) Same as #1 but instead of soldering the bulb contacts, find some 194 bulb sockets and screw them in like OEM.

If anyone has any other ways please pot it because these are the only 2 ways I've ever heard of or seen.

194 bulb sockets will not help you... the problem still remains that the hole is too small to fit the #1 bulb, and #2 "a 194 bulb socket". unfortunetly, the only way to do it is to follow my write up that i made that is found via a link on the bottom of the first page of this thread. soldering is actually very easy to do.. if you are not good at it, then just pratice before you do the project! G/L.

I love what you did to the gauges, they look amazing - almost like Lexus gauges or the new Accord gauges. I also love Crimson Blaze Maximas, and I want to trade cars with you .

ahh, i must have missed that one... i seached for it, but i only found the one where he posted for the 20th, and everyone wasn't sure about it.

i am not sure if i am going to go or not... like i said, my body does not do well with the cold, and we just had the meet the ed set up not too long ago, and it is a far drive for me... but if i do go, i will go with ed, and follow him up there. i will post in a few days if i am going to attend or not. but thanks for the link!

Btw... did i talk to you at all during the last meet? what car did you have/ whats you name? (i suck at names and such)
